Wow! What a great first term room 8 has had!
Have a safe, restful and happy holidays.

Just a reminder that you have a few books to enjoy reading over the holidays as well as a Bingo task sheet. Remember that the Bingo sheet needs to be signed by an adult so we can see what you've done.

We can't wait to see you all back in 2 weeks and hear all about your holidays!

Milk Monitors

Jarrod  and Lamy have become the first year 2 milk monitors at Beach Haven. Both boys had been showing initiative and bringing out the milk bins without being asked! Mrs Cray just had to have them on the milk team!

Certificates W6.

Congratulations to Dahrius and Lammy for receiving certificates this week. Dahrius received his certificate for trying hard with his writing and  Lammy received his certificate for managing his behaviour and learning so well on Friday! Keep it up!

Our trip to the beach.

A few weeks ago room 8 went to the beach to learn about beach/water safety. We went with two other classrooms. We were very lucky to have such nice weather, great helpers, lovely lifeguards and fantastic friends to share our learning experience with!

At the beach we should...
- Always stay with an adult
- Not swim out too deep
- Always swim between the flags
- Listen to the lifeguards
- Respect the beach and other people
- Be sun smart
- Swim in togs
- If it doubt, stay out!
- Recognise rip currents
- Never swim when tired or cold
- Use the correct safety equipment

 

 

Great work in week 5.

Congratulations to Keira and Finau who received certificates in assembly on Monday morning.  Keira received her certificate for always showing kindness to others and Finau received his certificate for managing his on learning in writing. He was even caught practicing his writing at the pool while waiting for his lesson! WOW!

Room 8 is very lucky to have you both in our class.

Swimming

We have all been learning how to swim every Friday! 

We have been practicing floating, kicking and our freestyle technique. 

Global Play Day

On Friday Beach Haven Primary School took part in Global Play Day. Room 8 had lots of fun with the construction equipment, colouring in, playing with toys and using the water slide!

This was a great opportunity for us to play with new friends and learn about playing well with others.
